Biography

Alexander Griaznov is a Director in S&P Global Corporate Ratings Group and the Lead Analyst in the EMEA Commodities team, primarily focusing on Oil & Gas companies in EMEA region. He has been with S&P Global since 2007.

Before assuming the responsibilities for the Oil & Gas sector, Alexander was a Senior Analyst in the Telecommunications and Technology team, covering companies in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with primary responsibility for the emerging markets. In addition, he was also involved in rating consumer goods, media, and retail companies.

Before joining S&P Global, Alexander held senior analytical positions in Société Générale Group and DeltaBank, focusing on credit analysis of corporates in the telecoms, retail, FMCG, natural resources, and utility sectors. He has a Masters degree from the Finance Academy of the Russian Federation and occasionally tutors students in international economics.
