Biography

Fernando Montes de Oca has over 12 years’ experience in the financial sector, particularly in the areas of credit analysis and fundamental analysis.

He currently holds the title of CEO of HR Ratings. Before joining HR Ratings, he worked as part of IXE Casa de Bolsa and B&R Consulting Group. Fernando is a founding member of HR Ratings, where he was Deputy Chief Credit Officer and Director for the Financial Institutions Group.

Fernando has an Executive MBA by NYU Stern School of Business. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) and has management studies at the ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain. He has also taught classes on Project Evaluation and Finance at ITESM and EGADE.
