Biography

Nicolás has over 30 years’ experience in financial markets, working with regulatory transformation topics regarding financial instruments and risks both in the United States and Mexico, primarily in the financial services, agribusiness and energy industries. Nicolás has specialized in the management of financial exposure, financial risks and hedge thereof from an accounting perspective, considering its impact on the financial statements of multiple sector companies. He is currently the KPMG lead partner for Latin America in regard to accounting standards associated with financial instruments under IFRS 9.
