Biography

Felipe Suárez has served as Senior Vice President, Head of Loan Structuring & Syndications since May 2017. Previously, since he joined Bladex in June 2013, Mr. Suarez was a Vice President in the Loan Structuring & Syndications group.

Prior to joining Bladex, Mr. Suarez worked since 2006 at Standard Bank of South Africa, in New York. At Standard Bank, he was involved in the structuring and execution of acquisition finance and corporate financing transactions in Latin America. Mr. Suarez began his career in 2001 at Corficolombiana in the Investment Banking Division working on syndicated loans, debt capital markets and corporate finance transactions in Colombia.

Mr. Suarez has an MBA from Emory University in Atlanta, and a bachelor´s degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia.
